Do you ever wonder?

Do you ever wonder who some of those people are that visit your site almost daily & never comment? Do you ever wonder what it is about your blog that keeps them coming back, especially since they don't know you? I didn't think I was that interesting. ;)

p.s. - to all my readers...those I know & don't know...commenters & non-commmenters, please continue to read on if you wish. I just think it's interesting to have people from all over the country (and sometimes world) read my mundane blog. :)

Ok, so how do you check that?????

I (and most of my fellow bloggers) have sitemeter or some kind of site monitor/counter, which usually (not always) shows me the town, state, country, continent of who is visiting. It also shows what time & how long they were on my site. It doesn't show their name or address or anything like that. It's our way of monitoring who visits us. It's quite interesting to see people from all over the world visiting your site.

Wait a minute, let me take my rose colored glasses off here, after all, I am the mom. Okay. It looks the same. I certainly love the idea folks from all over are looking at your blogs, because you guys are what is right with America. Young, hard working loving people and animals. Knowing that your hard work will allow you to help people and businesses.
Hip, funny, music loving, the picture of health. Dedicated to your families and friends, let alone the community at large. Even discussing your grumpiness, you are funny.
If you can effect the lives of one reader to improve their own lives, or to have a more positive viewpoint of American people, then this is an advantage you never counted on.
Plus you have pretty cool pix.

My favourite thing about sitemeter, finding out the search results that bring people your way. My blog is the number one Google result for Weird Shoulders. I'm kind of proud of that.

Dang! I need to start rechecking my site meter. When I started working I didn't have the time to bother & now, I've kinda forgotten about it. It'd be cool to have a Dublin friend like ETK. Where are some of your readers from?

Hmmm. . . .

Today I had someone from Australia & Malta check out my blog. I have someone from Maryland & a few in the Houston area (that I haven't figured who they are) frequently check it out. Who are you people? Don't be shy. You can leave me comments...but only if they are nice & clean (my momma reads this blog & she'll wash your mouth out with soap if you say bad things.) ;p

My most common search result seems to be about that post I did in my last rotation about a rare cancer called: "PMP AKA Jelly Belly." I also had one recently that was "Alli in Houston" that placed me at the top of the search list. Some interesting things bring people here. :)

I'm with ya, sister. I waffle between being flattered and pissed at the few hundred folks who come back day in and day out (and sometimes several times a day) who remain silent.

BTW, I use SiteMeter and StatCounter - interesting that their numbers sometimes don't match. StatCounter is more robust, but I've found SiteMeter's numbers are more reliable.

RLL: welcome to my blog!

TT: I can't remember where they came up with those names, but my mom told me that her name was actually Moon Blossom. EVEN better! :)
