He may not be totally green, but it doesn't mean he doesn't have plans to do so. The public, reporters, skeptics, etc. can't possibly know his personal life and/or goals in total. In the very least, he's doing something to make a difference. Tell me one politician who doesn't bend the truth to suit their needs.

His movie is very good and even more so inspiriing. I think that if it changes one person to do something positive for the environment, then his message can't be totally bad. Whether or not he's a hypocrit, he is trying to get others to make a good step towards saving our earth.

I just find it sad that people always have to try to dig up the "dirt" on other people. It's part of our society and I get that, but Gore is trying to make a difference in a better way regardless of party membership, beliefs or whether he follows his own message to a "t". I'm sure he's on his way there, especially after these articles, which probably are not the only one's in publication.

I strongly believe in the green lifestyle and have made many changes in our home to do so. However, on the other hand, I don't totally live the "green" either. For example, we wanted a Prius, but the room in the vehicle wasn't enough for what we needed it to do. We bought a Ridgeline instead. If and when someday they bring out a hybrid truck, you can be sure we will be checking it out. Sometimes it's not as easy as people believe. If things like that also make me a hypocrit, then I can learn to live with that.

I'm stepping off my soapbox now . . .

I just thought they were interesting articles/points-of-view.

I agree that we all need to do what we can to live a more green life, and there is no way for any of us to live a 100% "green life."

It's just sometimes hard to take advice from someone like a wealthy politician who is perceived to live a life of excess.....

That's just my humble opinion.

They ARE interesting articles. And my response to them was not meant as a lash-out at you, my friend. I'm sorry if it seemed as such.

On a side note: I made a promise to myself long ago to not apologize for things I post on my blog. It's what I feel, what I find interesting, what I like, what I don't like . . . etc., etc., etc. Basically, it's MY blog and I can post whatever I want. As THIS is your blog, you can post whatever YOU want. Don't forget that . . .
